I love merino clothing.
I went for size M, as already from pictures it looked more generous than some other item. I also bought the MTB ignite heavy top in L and this is only an inch(2,5cm) smaller round torso, though it feels larger, perhaps because it's mych thinner. Maybe as it's wool, they are allowing for shrinking if not washed correctly or perhaps for putting over other clothing?
I really like how well it sits around the neck, it has nice thick crew neck hem. It doesn’t feel like something that will go baggy very quickly. Only time will tell.
I don't ski or snowboard but it's great for mountain biking. I got speck of mud on the top on my first ride but it washed well even on thr cool wash, so hopefully muddy mtb won't ruin the top.
Overall, I'd recommend it.
